When & Where I Became a Christian: I accepted Christ in VBS at Ovilla Rd Baptist Church around age 10 and recommitted my life at 25 yrs. of age, at Hillcrest Baptist Church.

My Family: I come from a very strong, Christian family. My dad and mom raised us in church and instilled God’s love in us every day. My dad passed away 20 years ago but it seems like yesterday. My mom and younger brother still reside in our childhood home.

Regular Order at My Favorite Coffee Shop:  Venti Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso with an extra shot (that makes 5!)

People That Inspire Me: Anyone that shows God’s love to people and animals!

Weird Quirks: I have to smell everything I eat before putting it in my mouth, and I cannot stand stepping barefooted in anything wet! Except the ocean – that is incredible!

Least favorite thing to do: Clean house and wash clothes

What Makes Me Laugh: My friends and their crazy antics and my own crazy life!

Favorite Movies: Musicals – Sound of Music is my fave! - and all of the Avengers movies.

Favorite Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Favorite Music/Band/Singers:  TobyMac, Crowder, all Christian Music, 70’s and 80’s rock bands

I don't know... but I was Baptized finally at Oaks Church by Sharon.

My Family: I have a 31-year-old daughter and 4 grandsons and a 20-year-old son.

Regular Order at My Favorite Coffee Shop: Sweet Cream with extra cream iced coffee or a hot mocha in the winter.

People That Inspire Me: God

Weird Quirks: Not a huge meat eater. Smells and textures aren't my friend.

Least Favorite Thing to Do: Clean

What Makes Me Laugh: Sistah Flashlight and my grandkids.

Favorite Movies: Hope Floats, Heartland, Virgin River, Top Gun and so many more!

Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 31:25 and Issaiah 40:31

When & where I became a Christian? I grew up in and was very active in church as a youth-that’s where my Christian journey began.

My family: I have an incredibly smart and equally hilarious 9 year old daughter.

People that inspire me: micropreemies and their support systems, and those not defined by their past

Weird quirks: I don’t like to walk on floors with bare feet or socks, so….if you require me to take my shoes off to come into your home… let’s pick a nice place to meet up.

Least favorite thing to do: go to the post office

What makes me laugh: my daughter’s humor and sarcasm-for example she asked, “Why do feet smell and noses run?”

When & Where I Became a Christian: It feels like I've been a Christian pretty much my entire life because I have been in church since I was born. However, I made the decision for myself to follow Christ around the age of 11.

My Family: I'm married to my best friend, Shane, and we have 5 amazing boys together ranging from ages 8 to 20. We also have 4 dogs who are a part of our family.

Regular Order at My Favorite Coffee Shop: Dragon Drink with Matcha Powder

People That Inspire Me: My mom and my 2 sisters. They are all 3 such strong woman and have helped mold me into the woman I am today.

Weird Quirks: I am really super extra. Those closest to me know that when I plan something there is going to be lots of extraness details put into whatever it is I'm doing.

Least Favorite Thing to Do: Clean the bathroom.

My Family: Military family background and youngest of six. My parents are #goals, living and loving life in their 90’s. My beautifully, talented and only daughter is one of 30 grands/great-grands!

People That Inspire Me: People that have a testimony of the miracles God has done in their lives, in spite of adversity.

Weird Quirks: I'm just a quirky person, overall!

When & where I became a Christian?  I was approximately 11 years old when I gave my life to Christ.  I then rededicated my life to Jesus and was rebaptized at The Avenue Church Waxahachie several years ago.

My family: I am blessed to be married to my best friend who loves me unconditionally despite my craziness and flaws.  We have a daughter who is 37 and a son who is 26. We also have 4 grandloves and being a grandparent is one of my greatest joys!

Regular order at my favorite coffee shop: I am not a regular coffee drinker, but when I do drink coffee I really enjoy a cafe mocha.

People that inspire me:  People who are building the next generation of Jesus followers.  

Weird quirks: Walking barefoot, especially outdoors. I am a little bit of a girly girl and don't like to feel anything on my feet other than a nice pair of shoes.

Least favorite thing to do: Grocery shopping.  It's the worst!

What makes me laugh: Myself mostly.  I try not to take myself too seriously and if you can't laugh at yourself, then you're too serious.

I have 2 favorites, Phillippians 4:13  "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." It has always been my life's verse and Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  

Favorite music/band/singers: I like all types of music but if it moves me emotionally or physically, I like it.  Some of my favorites are Brandon Lake, Anne Wilson, Elevation Worship and Chris Stapleton.

When & were I became a Christian? I became a Christian at a very young age. Around 7 or 8 years old, I remember being baptized and completely understanding after, that that signified a dedicated life to Christ.

My family: I have been blessed with two beautiful children. Now 29 year old son and 22 year old daughter. They are my world. I was married for close to 12 years until the unexpected passing of my husband, their dad. Changed our lives forever.

Regular order at my favorite coffee shop: Matcha Green Tea Latte

People that inspire me: My mom, may she rest in peace. My pastor’s wife Serita Jakes. And women who succeed in the face of adversity.

Weird quirks: Hate toilets and for my hands to be sticky.

Least favorite thing to do: Trying to reach things up high (I am vertically challenged lol)

What makes me laugh: Young children, funny animal videos, and AFV (America’s Funniest Home Videos)
