Weird quirks: Instantaneously fall to the floor when I find something very funny.

Tell us about your family: Military background, father retired from the Army, youngest of six. Born in Louisiana, lived in Hawaii, then back to Louisiana. Moved to Texas as a teen and knew this state would always be home (Texan by heart). Father just turned 90, mom is just two years behind. Our family is crazy but close enough with 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Regular order at your favorite coffee shop: Chai Tea Latte

People that inspire me: Jesus, Mother Teresa, anyone that has a testimony of the miracles God has done in their lives in spite of adversity, Sharon Verigan, women who have suffered grief and still live fulfilling lives

Weird quirks: I'm just a quirky person overall!

Least favorite thing to do: Laundry, especially putting the laundry away

What makes me laugh: Children, animals, people who say funny things

Favorite Sports: Not a sports person, but I will watch basketball, baseball, ice hockey, or wrestling, in that order before I would ever watch football (I just don't get it)

What is your Ministry Role? Writing grants and serving on the financial committee for BRA. I also love ministering to my community at work where I serve as a disability social worker

When and where I got saved:  I first heard the gospel when I was in first grade at Ovilla Christian School. I spent years trying to understand the Bible and live life according to God's word and I fully put my faith and trust in Christ when I was 17 years old. This happened while volunteering at a summer Christian Youth Camp.

Tell us about your family: My family is awesome! Right now my family unit is my husband, Jason as well as our pet rabbit, Bugs lol. We are excited for God to continue growing our family. Also my parents and big sister are a huge support system in my life.

Regular order at your favorite coffee shop: Through an IV please? Lol jk... I love a Dirty Chai (Chai Tea with espresso)

People that inspire me: My mom inspires me! She is a dedicated teacher and loves others unconditionally. Watching her commitment to her students is the reason I wanted to become a social worker. She inspires me to be an advocate for others.

Weird quirks: I have to hold a pillow while watching TV... also I tend to say the catch phrase "Neato Mosquito" too often.

Least favorite thing to do: The dishes!!

What makes me laugh: My rabbit and husband make me laugh constantly.

What is your Ministry Role? Resource Director for BRA

When and where I got saved: At VBS when I was 8 years old. Recommitted my life and was baptized again at the age of 28 after a revival at Hillcrest Baptist Church

Tell us about your family: I am the oldest of 2 kids - my younger sibling is my brother Darin who is a coach/teacher at Life High School in Waxahachie. My mom and dad met and instantly fell in love at the Phillips Freezete in Oak Cliff. Their first date was to a wedding and they were engaged by Valentines Day. My dad was disabled when I was 6 years old and as a family we took care of him and he never missed any of our events or special occasions. We lost him in 2003 but we know we will see him again one day. My mom is one of the strongest women I know. She worked full time and cared for 2 young kids while caring for her disabled husband. I pray I am as strong as her one day. They were and are Godly parents that raised us in church and prayed over our lives daily. Even though I have had to be responsible from an early age, I value everything my parents instilled in me.

Regular order at your favorite coffee shop: Venti Iced Caramel Macchiato with 4 shots of espresso and 1 Splenda :-)

People that inspire me: Strong individuals that strive to make the world a better place and heal the hearts of those that are in need

Weird quirks: I am obsessed with Sonic ice and crunching it is my source of stress relief!

Least favorite thing to do: Clean the house and wash clothes

What makes me laugh: Puppy and kitten kisses and my circle of best friends!
